Kratos

In the God of War series, Kratos—referred to by the Jötnar as Fárbauti—is the main character. Atreus

Mimir, a Norse mythological character renowned for his intelligence and wisdom and an ally of Kratos and Atreus, is also regarded as the Smartest Man Alive and goes by the moniker Head, given by Kratos. Before Odin put him in jail 109 years ago, he served as the Aesir Gods' emissary and counsellor. He plays the role of God of War's tritagonist (2018). In Old Norse, Mímir means "the rememberer" or "the wise one."He is a well-known, wise, and knowledgeable person in Norse mythology. During the Æsir-Vanir War, he is decapitated by the Vanir Gods. After the Vanir give it to Odin, Odin uses magic to bring Mimir's head back to life. Subsequently, Odin encircles Mímir's head, reciting to him hidden wisdom. He is Odin's maternal uncle.

Thor

The god of thunder, lightning, storms, and power in Norse mythology is called Thor. The son of Odin and father of Magni and Modi. Thor makes an appearance in the official God of War (2018) conclusion and reappears as one of Ragnarök's primary adversaries. The hammer Mjölnir, his most famous weapon, has enough power to flatten mountains.

Odin

As the King of Asgard, the Ruler of Valhalla, and the King of the Aesir Gods, Odin is also referred to as the Allfather. In addition, he is the Norse God of the Sky, Magic, Poetry, War, and Death. It was he who had previously put Mimir in jail and daily tormented him. In addition, he sent Baldur to find out Faye's whereabouts. In mythology, he is often shown with his spear Gungnir, a fabled weapon that, when thrown, never fails to hit its target. He also typically sports a cloak and a wide-brimmed hat.

He is usually depicted in Norse mythology as having just one hand since the wolf Fenrir took away his other hand.ArgentinaA Jötunn, Angrboda is the mother of Hel, Fenrir, and Jörmungandr and the wife of Loki. She lived during the Aesir Gods' annihilation of the giants. Angrboða, sometimes known as Angrboda, is a female jötunn in Norse mythology. Only in Völuspá hin skamma, when Loki mentions Angrboða as Fenrir's mother, is she referenced in the Poetic Edda.

Durlin

The primary dwarf, Mótsognir, was produced before the second dwarf. Durlin seems to be a friend of Brok and Sindri in the first teaser. Dínner, a purple squidopus, is slung over his shoulder. According to Norse mythology, Durinn worked with the dwarf Dvalin to manufacture the enchanted blade Tyrfing. Durinn is referred to as Dulinn in saga variant manuscripts.

Fenrir

One of the worst foes of the Aesir is the Wolf-Giant-god Fenrir, also called Hróðvitnir (fame-wolf). He is meant to battle Odin at Ragnarök and defeat him. He is Hati's and Sköll's father. Freya

Baldur

The primary opponent of God of War (2018) was the Norse Aesir God of Light, Baldur. He was the uncle of Magni and Modi, the son of Odin and Freya, and the half-brother of Thor, Meili, Tír, Hodr, and Bragi. One of the two Jötnar that remain in Midgard and have been thwarting the Aesir's schemes for some time is the Jötunn Guardian. Baldur responds to Odin's summons to locate this warrior.The Giants were aware of everything that transpired during Ragnarok and that Baldur was destined to perish at Kratos' hands. As Baldur was pursuing Kratos' wife, Faye, he didn't know she was reduced to ashes, and Kratos came to the realisation that Baldur was never supposed to search for him. Despite Baldur's attempt on her life, Freya is left saddened and furious at his death. She gives Kratos a vow of vengeance before removing her son's corpse and running away.

Faye

Laufey the Just, often known as Faye, was a Frost Giant from Jötunheim who was Kratos' second wife and Atreus' mother. Faye is a significant character who is discussed a lot in God of War, however she is only seen in the 2018 game as a body covered in sheets and then burned.Her true name was Laufey, and according to Mimir, she was well-known as a great gigantic heroine for her acts of resistance against the ruthless Aesir and their monarch, Odin, and assistance to the poor and defenceless.
